SKINCARE:

How many time do you wash your face daily?
Probably once a day on average. I'll wash my face at night, and in the morning I'll tone it before I put on any makeup just to remove oil and residue that may have gathered while I was asleep :)

What skin type do you have? (oily, dry, combination)
Combination-oily usually. In the dryer half of the year (May - October) I have more normal skin.

What is your current facial wash?
Neutrogena's oil free face wash is doing me just fine at the moment - as well as the St Ives Apricot Scrub.

Do you exfoliate?
See above :) I love exfoliating!

What brand do you use?
As stated, St Ives. Occasionally I'll use one of those face cloth things with just my normal face wash, which is great too.

What moisturizer do you use?
At the moment I'm using up the Palmers Cocoa Butter facial moisturiser... It's okay - I'm not in love with it but I don't hate it either.

Do you have freckles?
I do! I have alot on my shoulders, but only a very small amount on my face because I use alot of sunscreen/foundation with SPF :)

Do you use eye cream?
Nope! Sometimes I feel like they can be a bit of a gimick - plus I'm only 18! Not quite at the eye cream age yet.

Do you or did you have acne prone skin
I used to! My doctor helped me choose a contraceptive pill to help with my skin issues, and also prescribed me an antibiotic tonic for my face. It worked out well for me :)

Did you ever have to use Pro Active?
I did for a while! It worked well but after hearing so many stories about skin becoming almost dependent on it, I stopped using Proactiv. After that, of course, my skin freaked out... But I sucked it up and haven't touched it in over a year :)

MAKEUP:

What foundation do you use?
I'm a huge fan of the Temptu airbrush system - love the natural "no makeup" look!

How about concealer?
I'm currently using MAC's prolongwear concealer in NC15 - I'm so pale!

Do you know your undertone color?
Cool :)

What do you think of false eyelashes?
I love falsies! But they must be applied properly - I cringe when I see people with lashes falling off :(

Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes, but I don't really follow the rule. I'll throw out a mascara once I see a change in it - whether it be smell, texture or colour.

What brand of mascara do you use?
I'm using MAC Haute and Naughty lash at the moment :)

Sephora or MAC?
I'd say MAC because there's no Sephora in Australia :(

Do you have a MAC Pro Card?
Soon!

What makeup tools do you use in makeup application?
Flat top dense brush for foundation, fingers for concealer, a angled blush brush, kabuki for bronzer, and all the standard brushes for eyeshadow - flat shader, fluffy blending, crease, angled etc.

Do you use makeup primer/base for the eyes?
I use UDPP and MAC Paint Pots :)

For the face?
I ususally stick with just moisturiser as a base - as alot of them have silicone ingredients in them also (cyclomethicone, dimethicone etc). However, if I need a really flawless base I'll use the Temptu primer.

What is your favorite eyeshadow(color or shade)?
I have a few! All MAC: Copperplate, Phloof!, Naked Lunch, Brun, Espresso, Blanc Type.... and many more!

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Hmmm I'll have to say neither and go with gel! I love the MAC Blacktrack and Dipdown fluidlines - can't get enough of them. I love the precision of the application with a brush.

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
I don't actually remember the last time I did that :)

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I like them, but I don't use them often enough to justify purchasing an entire container. I feel as though they are alot of hassle.

Do you use mineral makeup?
Ummm the only remotely mineralised makeup I use is the MSF Natural in Light.

What is your favourite lipstick?
MAC Creme D'Nude is definitely my most used.

How about lipgloss?
MAC Cremesheen glasses are beautiful. My most used is Boy Bait.

What is your favorite blush to use?
MAC Blushbaby :)

Do you buy your makeup up on Ebay?
No, I honestly don't trust many things on Ebay. Especially cosmetics claiming to be authentic. There are TOO many MAC fakes around.. It's unfair.

Do you like drugstore makeup?
I definitely do! But as a makeup artist, I tend to stick to professional brands.

Do you go to CCO's(cosmetic company outlets)?
I wish! There's nothing really like that in Australia.

Do you ever consider taking up makeup classes?
Just spent the majority of the year becoming a makeup artist!

Are you clumsy when putting on makeup?
Not really, but sometimes I have off-days where I end up having to take it all off and start over again - that's probably because I'm super fussy.

Name a make-up crime that you do?
Not taking off my makeup? Haha I don't know :)

Do you like colorful shades of makeup(lipsticks, eyeshadows) or neutral ones?
I love love love neutrals - but lately I've been venturing into more purple shades (lipstick and eyeshadow) and I've been having a lot of fun with it! I'll always be a neutral girl though :)

Which celebrity always has great makeup?
So hard to choose! I love Katy Perry's vintage inspired makeup, but I also love Jennifer Hawkins and Miranda Kerr. Girl crush? Absolutely.

If you could leave the house using only ONE make-up. what would you use?
Either mascara or tinted moisturiser.

Could you ever leave the house with no make-up on?
Yes, I do it often. Although, I enjoy the actual process of putting makeup on - I find it therapeutic - so I try to make an effort when time permits.

Do you think you look good even with no make-up on?
My dad likes it when I go bare faced, but I think I look better with makeup - just because it enhances my features.

In your opinion, What is the best make-up line?
I'd have to say MAC for their extensive colour and formula selection. I love being able to go to the one counter for a sheer/amplified lipstick, rather than having to search around.

What do you think of make-up?
Makeup is something I actually look forward to. I look forward to buying it, talking about it, trying it, applying it on myself and others, as well as listening to others talk about it and share their opinions. Makeup is definitely becoming my life!

Hope you enjoyed this! I'm trying to get back into blogging - and I'll be posting another multitasking household product post later :)

Multi-purpose products - Vaseline

I'm a big fan of multi-purpose products, especially cheap household items that double as beauty products!

The main item that I reach for alot is Vaseline - the traditional one in the tub. There is a never ending list for this product, but my top 20 uses are:
1. Cuticle cream - applied twice daily makes for beautiful clean looking cuticles
2. Elbow & knee moisturiser - it's super intense, and helps to keep dry skin at bay
3. Helps perfumes last longer - apply this where you usually apply perfume, wait a few minutes and spray away!
4. Mixed with finely ground sea salt/sugar, and it makes a great scrub!
5. When a light layer is applied on the teeth, it prevents your lips from becoming stuck to your teeth if you do alot of smiling - and it can also help to prevent the old lipstick on the teeth drama
6. Massages! I frequently talk my mum into giving me a nice shoulder/foot massage with the aid of Vaseline - helps to moisturise at the same time!
7. Brilliant makeup remover - it'll take off anything! Even the likes of Covergirl Lash Blast Waterproof
8. Can be applied on the eyelids to give the glossy look that is on trend right now!
9. Can be used as a barrier cream to prevent wind burn
10. Mix with your lipstick for a cream blush!
11. Tames unruly eyebrows - smooth a little on once you've filled them in
12. Gives eyelashes glossy. defined look
13. Prevents accidental application of hair dye on your ears - apply as a barrier around the hair line and on the ears
14. Removes makeup stains from clothing!
15. Remove false eyelash glue from lash line
16. Apply Vaseline on your lips, leave it to sit for a minute or two, and scrub with a toothbrush! Leaves you with smooth, supple lips
17. Apply Vaseline to the places your face gets dry just before a flight to prevent skin dehydration
18. Create cream eyeshadows with pigments!
19. Barrier cream for blisters - absolute lifesaver!
20. Use a tiny bit on the split ends to disguise them

I keep several tubs around the house, for convenience :) I've also found that it helps to soothe bug bites - so does sticky tape! I found this out when I managed to get absolutely eaten alive by mosquitos one night - I'm not exaggerating when I say you literally could not see one part of my thighs that weren't bitten. To make matters worse, I'm sensititve to mosquito bites, and get huge welts when I'm bitten, my legs looked so big! Anyway, I accidentally stuck tape on my leg when I was wrapping a present and noticed a couple minutes later that the bite was not itchy anymore. I researched it, and apparently the glue used on the tape helps to bring out the poison-y stuff left by the mosquito bite and also acts as a barrier to help stop things from irritating the bite and making it itchy again.

Overall, huge thumbs up for multi-purpose products! Will do another post like this soon I think :)
